Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo

Becuse of Winn-Dixie is about an 11 year old, Opal, who finds a dog and takes him home.  She washes him and asks her dad if she can keep him.  He says no and calls the pound. They try and take him, but Opal won`t let them.  After, since she got to keep him,  she named him Winn-Dixie.  In the end they have a party and it starts thundering.  He gets lost, theres a suprise twist. Read the book,  then wacth the movie! DK
